Peter Sockel, age 68, of Coker, Ala., formerly of Temple, Texas, born in Stuttgart, Germany, died November 28, 2014, at home. Private services will be held. Arrangements are being handled by Northport Funeral & Cremation Service.He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sockel and Erna Sockel and stepmother Sybil Sockel.He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Teresa Sockel; daughter, Crystal Sockel of Tucson, Arizona; beloved grandson, Matthew, and his dog and cats, who loved him so much.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to grandson, Matthew Sockel's, college fund at the Bank of Tuscaloosa. -
